The following notice sets out how personal data is handled on inquirix.net under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. It names the responsible company, the data we receive when you use the site or write to us, the purposes of the processing and the rights you can exercise.
Controller and scope of this policy
inquirix, located at 14 Icen Way, Dorchester DT1 1EW, United Kingdom, is responsible for the processing of personal data described here, on every page of inquirix.net and in the correspondence that follows from it. Questions about this notice can be sent to hello@inquirix.net or put to us on 01305 264817.
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly process their data. Parents or guardians who notice that a child has contacted us can ask us at hello@inquirix.net to remove the message from our records.
Data processed on this website
Every page request is recorded on the server together with the address of the requesting device, the time, the file opened and the browser used. This information is needed to deliver the page and to detect faults or misuse.
Writing to us by email or through the form means that your contact details and the content of your message reach us. We use them to understand your request and to answer it, and we ask only for what a reply requires.
Purpose and legal basis
The information described here serves a limited set of purposes: running inquirix.net without faults, answering your questions, preparing offers or agreements and meeting the duties that come with running a business.
Depending on the case, the basis is your consent, the performance of a contract or steps taken before entering into one, a legal obligation, or our legitimate interest in a secure website. Without the details we ask for, we may be unable to reply.
Cookies
This website keeps stored entries to a minimum. It does not use advertising cookies, it does not follow visitors across other sites, and an answer you give to a cookie notice stays in your own browser.
You can see which entries this website has stored, delete them and refuse new ones at any time in the settings of your browser. Blocking storage that the pages need may mean that parts of the site no longer work.
Service providers and transfers abroad
We do not trade in personal data. It reaches only the companies that keep this site online and handle our email on our behalf, bound by contract to our instructions, and the authorities that are entitled to request it.
Data may be handled by a provider whose servers or support staff are located abroad. We choose providers who commit to protecting it at the level the applicable rules demand for transfers of this kind.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as statutory retention periods require. After that it is deleted or the reference to a person is removed.
Technical log entries disappear automatically after a short time. Correspondence is kept while it may still be needed, and records that tax or commercial rules require us to keep are held for the period those rules set.
Your rights and how to use them
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to object to processing based on legitimate interests and to receive your data in a portable format. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, a message to hello@inquirix.net is enough. To be sure that we are dealing with the right person, we may ask you to confirm your identity; our answer follows within the statutory period and is free of charge.
Besides contacting us, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator.
