Team
Four people covering consultancy, lighting, audio timing and editing for studio and live production.
The people behind the guides and reports
Each of us works within one area of the broadcast chain and reads the others' work before it goes out. Clients usually deal directly with the person whose area their question falls in.

The principles that shape our advice
Advice on live production is only useful if a crew can act on it under pressure. We therefore hold ourselves to a few plain habits when we write, review and train. They come from years in studios and show in every guide and report we send.
- 01
Accuracy
Accuracy means we check figures, settings and signal paths before they reach a report. If we are unsure about a detail of your equipment, we say so and ask, rather than guessing. Oliver Banks edits each guide against the technical notes so a wrong setting does not slip through.
- 02
Clarity
Clarity means writing for the person who has the equipment in front of them and little time. Reports list findings in order of importance, name the setting to change, and avoid jargon where a plain word does the job. Procedures are written so a new crew member can follow them.
- 03
Craft
Craft means treating small details as part of the job: a sensible colour temperature, a tidy gallery layout, a run sheet that matches how the show really runs. We prefer to do fewer things carefully and to explain our reasoning so your team can repeat it.
